Well, Rhys, Baby #2 and I are still alive and kicking here in Texas. I have my 18 weeks appointment today and will get an ultrasound scheduled to find out the gender. I can’t wait to find out the gender of Baby #2 and finally get a name assigned. We have a girl name all agreed on and picked out, but are still disagreeing over boy names (the opposite of when I was pregnant with Rhys).
Clothing: I am in that in-between stage where my fitted shirts are getting a bit too fitted and I can fit into half of my pants and half of my maternity pants. So, I bought a few boyfriend tees earlier this week. Seriously. Why have I never bought them before? They are adorable, loose, lightweight (perfect for a Texan summer), and comfy!
Weight Gain: To be honest, I’m not sure…since we have moved, I haven’t unpacked our scale yet…plus, it was out of batteries before. (I had been using my parents’ scale the past few months when we lived with them). I don’t really want to know…I know my face and neck definitely look a lot more full…
Size of Baby: Cantaloupe
Sleep: I wake up a few times a night to go pee. I try not to count or look at the clock, so I can fall back asleep. I’ve also woken up a few times due to sharp pains in my back and lower abdomen. I’m also almost always ready for a nap when Rhys takes his…about 5 out of 7 days a week!
Symptoms: Thankfully, I’ve had a lot of energy, which has been needed because we’ve moved to Texas. Justin has been out of state training for his new job, so I’ve had to set up most of the apartment myself, while taking care of Rhys. I’ve been hungry a lot. I’ve also had some pain in my abdomen a lot.
Food Cravings: Caesar Salad and Pepsi have definitely been the biggest two! And Cici’s Pizza–I haven’t had it since 2008 in Virginia. So, I’ve eaten there about 3 times in the past three weeks! Big, thick, full sandwiches!
Food Aversions: None, really.
Shirt: Old Navy | Pants: Target | Shoes: Sole Envy
Rhys: Rhys recognizes there is a baby in my belly. Whenever he sees babies, he squeals and makes his “it’s so cute” face. He will kiss and hug the baby in my belly when we remind him it’s there. He’s also been a blessing these past three weeks–super independent and always wanting to help me around the house.
