Intentional March Goals

Don't forget your word of the year! Stay intentional!

Well, surprise, surprise!!  One of my intentional blogging goals for this year was to transfer my blog to WordPress. And it finally happened, all thanks to Madison Wetherill from Grace and Vine Studios! I am super excited about this move and hope it will help me grow my blog! Please be patient as Madison and I continue to fidget with the blog and reorganize things.

And now, on to the post!

Although it was leap year, February still just flew by my eyes. I turned one year older, although definitely not wiser. I had/have a small cycle of depression that I’m working through. But, I’ve also had quite a fun time doing February.

As a reminder, my 2016 mission statement is: “Be intentional, have contentment, and bloom where I am planted.” The second two phrases of my mission statement is all mental–it is how I am going to try to behave and view my daily life this year. I want to have a positive attitude. Being intentional is how I am going to act. So, my goals will be intentional.

Intentional March 2016 goals. Intentional is my word of the year, and I plan to follow through with it!

February’s Goals

~~ Transfer to WordPress and make sure it looks and behaves fantastically. Madison Wetherill from Grace and Vine Studios is the amazing woman who is helping me. And, Shannon from Shanndelier is being my personal tutor with WordPress.
Done! Don’t you love it! I am stil exploring my new site and reorganizing everything. Please be patient with links and tages, etc.

~~ Begin my newsletter! I’m finally getting it together! It’ll be so exciting! Look for it coming this Friday morning! Sign up here!
I did one…I’m not too happy with it, and I only have 13 readers…I don’t know if it’s worth it or not right now…

~~ Create some sort of white backdrop or lightbox for pictures.

~~ Decide on a brand of fonts, colors, styles for pins.
I’ve decided on my fonts–the same ones as my logo…but as to aesthetic…I’m still experimenting.

~~ Lose 5 pounds.

~~ Dessert and/or Pepsi at most once a week.

~~ Work out and/or go running at least four times a week (including getting 10,000 steps at least that many times)
I worked out about an average of 3 times a week! That’s much better! And, on days I didn’t, if I had a car available to me, I went to the mall with Rhys and just walked around.

Family & Marriage

~~ Do something sweet and loving for Justin every day this month.
I failed at this…I’m a terrible wife! (Not really, but I need to show my appreciation to Justin more than I do)

~~ Spend an intentional two hours a day total with Rhys, only paying attention to him. Find learning activities to do with him.
I did spend more time with Rhys, not necessarily two hours a day, and not necessarily learning activities, but I did put my electronics down more for him this month.

~~ Do one thing to help my family out with the house every day.
I did very well with this–I did the dishes a lot during the day, as well as picking my youngest sister up from school often.

~~ Put one of my teaching units formatted and finished on Teachers Pay Teachers.

~~ Plan a birthday/Valentine’s date with Justin.
We didn’t really do anything for birthday or Valentine’s day…honestly, I didn’t really want to or feel like doing something…I was happy just staying at home.

~~ Read and finish two books this month. Read every day for at least 30 minutes.
I did read and finish two books this month, but I didn’t read every day.

~~ Do scripture study every day.
I was about 90% with this!

~~ Find a HTML or graphic design certification program online.
I completely forgot about this goal!

March Goals

~~ Learn WordPress!
~~ Make sure all links and categories are organized and working on my newly designed blog.
~~ Go through some blogging bootcamps.
~~ Redo my Pinterest board and up my game.

~~ Lose 5 pounds
~~ No added sugar (soda/sugary drinks, desserts, candy, junk food, etc.)
~~ Workout at least 30 minutes at least 4 times a week.

Family & Marriage

~~ Create a budget and savings plan with Justin and stick to it.
~~ Plan and go on at least 1 Rhys-less date with Justin.
~~ Read with Rhys for at least 10 minutes every day.
~~ Do couple scripture reading every day.

~~ Continue to read scriptures every day and write down at least 1 thought every day.
~~ Journal at least once a week.
~~ Do indexing every Sunday.
~~ Put one of my teaching units formatted and finished on Teachers Pay Teachers.
