This month has been a happy one. I have felt content in life as a work-at-home-mom of two. I did a lot of reading this month, which makes me happy as well. And, we’ve been enjoying some great weather here in Texas…not to mention, in a week and a half we’ll be heading to Utah for Easter!!!! So, here is what is currently going on!

Accomplishing | A lot. I’m starting to get ahead with blogging and I’m getting a lot of free lancing done. My goal this month is to start learning Adobe Illustrator so I can make better quality printables. So, I’m staying busy. I’m also accomplishing my goal of teaching Rhys letters and numbers.

Feeling | Anxious…but a good anxious. So many goals and exciting things coming up. Mostly, I’m excited for Easter! And, I’m so in love with my kids. I love watching them play.

Needing | To be able to drink Pepsi and eat peanut M&Ms without gaining weight. My left knee to not be injured so I can keep running. It not to be so hot in Texas…seriously…wearing Mormon garments even with shorts and light t-shirts is so hot!

Practicing | With Adobe Illustrator. Practicing patience with my children, my husband, and myself. Practicing not being judgemental or rude to others.

Pinning | Easter luncheon ideas for Evelyn’s baby blessing on Easter Sunday. Also, tips for having a successful Etsy shop and how to grow my blog.

Justin is Currently…| Still loving his job. He’s done a lot of big projects that have been approved my his higher ups. We also were given tickets to a Ranger’s game and to sit in his company’s box later this month! How fun! Justin is also currently doing another run of Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.

I am currently…| trying to eat more healthy and workout more to lose weight. Reading a lot more. Paying more attention to my kids. I just restarted the New Testament, and I am loving it! I’m also trying to find a balance to work, play, and keeping a clean house!

Rhys is currently…| Loving to play Nintendoland on the Wii-U. His imagination is growing so much. He makes up characters and scenarios with his toy cars and his Legos, and it’s so fun to watch. He’s working on learning the alphabet–what sounds the letters make and how to write them. He has also become a bit obsessed with Yoshi, especially the Yarn Yoshi shorts. He has also started testing boundaries, especially in not wanting to obey. So, we’ve started counting up to 10 before he get punished with time out. Sometimes he’ll come as fast as he can, and sometimes he’ll intentionally wait until I’m close to 10. This month, Rhys suffered an upper respiratory infection paired with bronchitis. Poor boy. We are also going to start potty training after Easter.

Evelyn is Currently…| being the cutest, happiest, smiliest 3-month-old ever! She can roll over both ways and loves to watch Rhys. She is getting close to laughing. She loves sitting up and cuddling. Evelyn is getting much better at enjoying being on her tummy. Her favorite thing is her playmat. She is pooping completely by herself now and only waking up once a night for a bottle.

General Conference

I love General Conference, and this year was no exception. For the Women’s session, I went to our Stake Center–that is the first time I’ve ever done that. Typically, I just stream it at home. But, the women were having a chocolate social before hand, so I went. I felt so blessed to be with these women, not just from my ward (congregation), but the entire stake (area). And the fact that we were going to hear the female world leaders of our church speak…I had an overwhelming feeling of peace and Christ. I wrote this in my journal…

I’m surrounded by girls and women–I feel so close to them. We ar the women of the LDS Church–we are the Relief Society. I’ve recently been reading a book that has discourses from women of the church throughout its history and last Saturday I did initiatories at the Dallas Temple. I feel so empowered and blessed to be part of this church’s divine sororiety.

Of course, during the Saturday and Sunday sessions, it was a bit difficult to pay attention because of the awkward time of the streamings compared with Rhys and Evelyn’s feeding and sleeping schedules. I typically take notes and live tweet, but I only did that for a talk or two each session. But, I listened.

Pikmin Two

I have been obsessed with the Pikmin games ever since I first played it on GameCube as a young teen. Then, we got the third one on the Wii-U a few years ago. And found the first for GameCube. However, I had never played the second one for the Wii…and when we found it on Amazon, we weren’t willing to spend the money on it. But, last weekend, it became available on the Wii-U e-shop for only $20! So we got it and I’ve been playing it after the kids go to sleep every night! Yaaay!

Little Olive Clothing Company

Ever since my friend Kim opened her clothing shop, Little Olive Clothing Company, a few years ago, I’ve stalked her on Instagram. But, because she has such top-quality outfits with such amazing, adorable fabric, her prices are a bit too much for my poor self. Then again, I think Carter’s is a bit expensive, too! So, when I won a pair of shorties for a giveaway, I was too excited!

  1. Oh my gosh! Little Evelyn is so cute!! 🙂 I’m so glad you had a happy month! 🙂 I now have more goals I want to have that you’re doing! Haha, Easter sounds like it’s going to be the best day ever!

      1. I always wonder that with Amberly and her niche of marriage. But, really, I just blog whatever I want to and don’t limit myself.

  2. I wish I could eat all the chocolates and not gain weight too! I’ve been so bad with all the Easter candies lately. Oy.
The Rangers game in the box seats will be so much fun!! I can’t wait to hear all about that!
YAY for Evelyn doing so well, and for Rhys starting potty training soon.

    1. I’ll definitely be taking pictures at the baseball game. Wish me luck with our second attempt at potty training Rhys! Hopefully he’ll catch on with #2!

  3. Yay for feeling content and for having time to read – sounds like a great month to me. And way to go on learning Adobe Illustrator – I’d love to do that someday. Thanks for linking up 🙂

  4. Yup, I think if I was ever presented with a magic genie, I think I would wish for the ability to eat anything and not gain weight. It’s either that or unlimited money, and I guess then I’d hire a trainer, but I still feel like I’d have to try to eat healthy so it’s a toss up. Haha.

  5. Peanut m&m’s without weight gain would be fabulous. 🙂 And learning Adobe Illustrator sounds like such a great skill to develop!
