The Guys Behind the Blog | The Winter Edition

It’s been forever since Justin has taken over the blog. So, since we are now settled in Texas, and are getting the hang of two kids (not really–hah!), we decided to give The Guys Behind the Blog another shot. Even though it’s the end of January, Justin will be talking about his New Years resolutions and his feelings on winter.

1 // Are you a New Year’s resolution person? Why or why not?

Not really.  I mean, its nice to make goals for yourself, but if seriously wanted a change in your life, why not do it now instead of waiting til Jan 1 to maybe do it sometimes?

2 // Do you like the colder months or do you prefer the warmer months? Why?

Between 55 degrees and 75 degrees.  That’s the best.  Anything outside of that range is not my friend.

3 // Have you ever been skiing or snowboarding? If so, did you enjoy it?

The cold and I don’t get along, so no.  Something about flailing down a snow-coated mountain doesn’t seem attractive to me.

4 // Where is your favorite winter vacation you’ve ever taken?

Wherever my family is.  I love spending the winter/holidays with family.  Wherever they are, that’s my favorite.

5 // If you were paid $100,000 to stay in a cabin in the mountains (in the winter) with no Internet or TV for a month, could you do it? How would you spend your time?

Of course I’d do it.  Easy. You could even throw in no Phone and drop the amount substantially and I’d do it.  How would I spend my time?  Well, A good portion of it would be spent doing absolutely nothing,  Seriously, people underestimate the tranquility of doing nothing.  And I don’t mean just sitting and reading or sleeping, I mean 100% staring at a wall or out a window for hours.  Its great.

Beyond that, I dunno, I’d think of something.  Being unplugged really isn’t as terrible as people assume.
